About me

I am Euge Stumm (they/elle/elu), a Ph.D. candidate in Literary, Cultural, and Linguistic Studies at the University of Miami. My research examines how gender and sexual dissidents in Latin America create language to encompass their experiences. My dissertation focuses on cultural productions in gender-inclusive Spanish in Argentina, and in Pajubá (or Bajubá), a Brazilian cryptolect. I am also a digital humanist and a member of the Bouchet Honor Society.

Digital projects

I build and maintain two digital archives:

• The Bajubá Digital Archive catalogs cultural productions in and about Pajubá.
• The Gender-Inclusive Spanish Digital Archive catalogs cultural productions in and about gender-inclusive Spanish.

I also develop CollectionBuilder-Remix, a community flavor of CollectionBuilder designed for beginner-friendly and multilingual development of digital archives and collections, including from mobile devices. I am currently working to integrate it into the next generation of the CollectionBuilder ecosystem.
